Improve Your Oral Hygiene Routine with These Oral Hygiene Secrets
Posted on October 18th, 2017
Little did you know, there are little tricks and techniques you can use to improve your oral hygiene routine. These things can help you have the effective, successful, and top-notch smile-cleaning techniques you need to keep your teeth and gums in tip-top shape. These little tricks and techniques are called oral hygiene secrets, and our dentist, Dr. Daniel McKay, DDS, is happy to share them with you.
The first secret is to brush your teeth enough. If you’re one who forgets that you need to brush twice a day for two minutes each time, set a reminder on your phone or place sticky notes around the house. To help you brush for two minutes, just brush while listening to a short song or set a timer for yourself.
The second secret is to keep your toothbrush clean. This means you should thoroughly clean the bristles when you’re done using your brush and then place the brush upright in a place where it can air dry. Do not put a toothbrush cover on the brush until the bristles are dry.
The third secret is to look for the American Dental Association Seal of Acceptance. This logo proves that the brush, paste, floss, and rinse are safe and effective in your oral hygiene routine. So, if your oral hygiene tools have this logo, you’re on the right track.
